Current browser release
The free browser game stores progress locally in your browser and does not send learning progress to an account server. It has no advertising or analytics integration. The web host receives technical request information, including IP addresses, when serving the website and game. Clearing Rysa site data removes the local browser progress. Account and mobile update processing described below applies only to versions offering those features.
What stays on your device
The vocabulary, alphabet guide, game logic and badge calculations are included in the app. Local play stores learning progress on the device without creating an account. The device's speech service provides alphabet pronunciation; availability and any speech-service processing depend on your device and selected voice. Rysa does not record microphone audio.
Account and support information
If you create an account, we process your email address, chosen display name, a salted password hash, session identifiers and learning progress. The server does not store your password in plain text. If you contact support, we receive the information and attachments you choose to send. Network requests also expose technical information such as IP address to the services receiving them.
Why we use information
We process account and progress information to provide the backup and synchronization you request, based on performance of our agreement with you. We use limited technical and support information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service and respond to requests, based on legitimate interests, subject to your rights. We process information where required by law and seek consent where legally required for optional processing.
Services and sharing
Hosting, database, email and app distribution providers may process information as needed to operate their services. The app is configured to use Expo's update service, which can receive technical information when checking for app updates. Apple and Google separately process store downloads and purchases under their policies. The current app contains no advertising or behavioral analytics integration. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Account details and synchronized progress are kept while the account remains active. Deleting the account removes its active account record, sessions, saved progress and associated progress history. Restricted backups and operational records may persist until scheduled expiry or where retention is legally required. Uninstalling the app alone does not remove the cloud account. Other offline devices may retain cached information until their local app data is cleared.
Your choices and rights
You can play locally, choose whether to create an account, and request deletion from the app or by emailing admin@shieldwall.ltd. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, portability or restriction of your information, object to certain processing and withdraw consent where it is used. We may verify identity before acting on a request. You may complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority or another competent data-protection authority.
International processing and safeguards
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable, we use legally required transfer safeguards. Production provider locations, transfer arrangements and backup expiry must be confirmed by the publisher before this draft is released.
Children and policy updates
Rysa's intended audience and store age settings must be confirmed before launch. This draft does not authorize collection of children's information or a child-directed release. Contact admin@shieldwall.ltd with any concern about a child's information. Material policy changes will be made available in the app and on the published privacy page.
